ScanSource Communications Europe, a leading value-added distributor of voice, data, security and video communications solutions, over the course of 2011 trained more than 1,200 communications resellers across Europe through its education programme ScanSource University.

In the UK alone, seven new courses were introduced to the ScanSource University offering in 2011 - IPO Technical Update Workshop, IPO Applications Sales, Introduction to Telecoms, Introduction to Data, Avaya CM Sales (APSS), Avaya Data Sales (APSS) and Avaya Contact Centre Sales (APSS).

ScanSource Communications Europe has signed a distribution agreement with Acme Packet, a leader in session border control solutions, which extends the agreement between the two companies in North America signed earlier this year to Europe.

ScanSource Communications Europe to Offer Resellers Multi-Vendor Quarterly Partner Update Meetings

ScanSource Communications Europe has announced quarterly partner updates that provide a platform for sharing time-relevant information and enable resellers to be trained and kept up-to-date with the latest vendor developments.

ScanSource will hold an event every three months in the south and north of England, as well as in Scotland, and invite resellers to join them for a day of training, information sharing and hands-on demonstrations. ScanSource Communications Europe Launches On-Demand Customised Training Courses for Resellers

ScanSource Communications Europe has announced the availability of vendor-agnostic, free-of-charge, tailor-made training courses, scheduled on-demand by individual resellers, under the topics ‘Introduction to Telecommunications' and ‘Introduction to Data Communications'.

Both courses are designed principally for reseller partners' new sales recruits and would equally be suitable as refresher courses for more experienced sales professionals. Experienced ScanSource Subject Matter Experts will deliver these one-day courses, providing an in-depth overview of the development, infrastructure and solutions involved in today's telecoms and data communications business markets. Resellers can work together with the ScanSource team to design and develop courses on a case-by-case basis.

ScanSource Communications Europe receives Comms National Award, wins Convergence Distributor of the Year Category

ScanSource Communications Europe, a leading value-added distributor of voice, data and video communications products has won the 2011 Avaya-sponsored Comms National Awards Convergence Distributor of the Year category. ScanSource attended the 2011 Comms National Awards with Avaya as one of its leading European distribution partners on 13th October where the winners were announced at an event staged by Comms Dealer magazine at London's Park Lane Hotel.

The Comms National Award win adds to ScanSource Communications Europe's Comms Business Distributor of the Year reader vote award in June this year as well as vendor recognitions from Extreme Networks and ShoreTel in 2011.
